Write to SBMUG!
Brian Carlin & Friends … our favorite photos |
THURSDAY, February 16: John Wiley, recently retired from a varied career in technology, psychology, writing and teaching, will speak on his experiences and solutions in aerial photography with a Mac. He will take us through the quick steps he uses, from snapping to edited final product, many of which have been featured in books and magazines and on his popular websites. You can see some examples on John Wiley’s photostream. Time: 6:00–8:00 p.m. Location: The Natural History Museum’s Farrand Hall (see directions below). As always, we’ll have wireless internet access, delicious refreshments, and good company!
Directions:We meet at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, 2559 Puesta del Sol, Santa Barbara. Go up Los Olivos Street just past the Mission and take the second left onto Las Encinas Rd. Turn left at the end of the block, then into the Museum’s parking lot on the right. From the parking lot entrance, walk through the iron gate. The meeting will be in Farrand Hall, a short stroll past the gate. Look for a sign pointing the way. General info for main meetings:The public is welcome (bring your PC and Linux friends, too!), but only members may enter the drawing for prizes! Refreshments will be served. For more information about SBMUG programs, or to make suggestions for future programs, write to us! Time: 6 to 8 p.m. The meeting begins with a general question and answer session. Bring your big questions, your little questions, your tricky questions, your "stupid" questions, your technical questions, your newbie questions, your part one and part two questions, the question you were always afraid to ask, the question that may beg the question … Refreshments will be served, and the presentation will begin shortly after. Recurring meeting dates:Q&A: Tuesday evenings at the MacMechanic store. See the Special Interest Groups page for details. |
